Hegseth Says Public Can Watch Fort Hood Shooter’s Execution
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Americans can watch the execution of Nidal Hasan, the Army major who killed 13 people at Fort Hood on November 5, 2009. Hasan has sat on military death row at Fort Leavenworth since a 2013 court-martial. The Pentagon remarks pointed to a public carrying-out of the sentence, including talk of a firing squad.
