We experienced a series of failures in our underwriting_architect service on September 23, 2026. This incident led to multiple items being marked as underwriting_failed. The root cause was identified as a timestamp formatting mismatch introduced during a recent update. Our internal systems were passing PostgreSQL datetime objects directly, which caused issues with the downstream JSON serialization process. A fix has been deployed to ensure all timestamps are consistently formatted as ISO strings, resolving the processing errors and restoring normal operation to the underwriting service.
