Hurricane Polo, currently a Category 4 storm, is located southwest of Mexico’s Pacific coastline as of Thursday, September 24, 2026. While direct impacts to Mexico are not anticipated, the storm’s proximity will bring heavy rain and rough seas. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Nolo, which formed on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, is heading towards Hawaii, with a hurricane watch issued for the Big Island. Nolo is expected to strengthen into a hurricane, potentially causing life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides across the Hawaiian Islands from Thursday through Saturday.
