Nursery Owner Sentenced to Life for Poisoning 247 Children in China
A nursery owner in China has been sentenced to life in prison for poisoning 247 children and staff with lead-contaminated food. The incident, which came to light in July 2025, involved the Heshi Peixin Kindergarten in Tianshui, Gansu province. The court found that the owner and executive principal instructed staff to add inedible paint to meals to enhance their appearance, leading to abnormally high blood lead levels in the victims.
